Dallas stars
The stars are eight points behind leaders Vegas, so they still have a good chance of winning first place. In order to achieve this, they will have to show an even better form of play in the season finale. Currently, they are in a good mood and have conceded only three defeats in the last ten duels, all three in front of their own fans. After two convincing triumphs over Buffalo and Dallas, they conceded home defeats to Toronto and the Kings in two ensuing duels.
After these two negative results, they were able to significantly improve their game and celebrated as many victories in the next five duels. They also celebrated against some very high quality teams like Minnesota and Pittsburgh. The positive series of five wins ended on the final day when they were literally taken apart by Vancouver at home (0: 6). In the home game against the direct competitor, they now have the chance to make amends.

St. Louis Blues
The blues are playing very unsteady lately and they somehow do not manage to get some wins in series. It all started with the away defeat against Boston earlier this month. Afterwards, they celebrated against Buffalo, but then came a serious home defeat to Minnesota (2-6). In the next two duels, they played much better and celebrated at home against Colorado and away against Winnipeg. In these two matches, they even scored eleven goals. After that they have disappointed their fans again with a 1: 4 home defeat to Pittsburgh.
