Nashville Predators – Edmonton Oilers / NHL – In spite of bad matches lately, the Predators remain at the top of the table in the Western Conference in fourth place, three points behind second-placed Winnipeg. In this round, they will welcome Edmonton Oilers at home, who are in the lower half of the Western Conference. The Oilers occupy the 13th place and have won only one victory in the last five duels.

Nashville Predators
Despite finishing fourth, the Predators are still in the running for first place in the table. They have six points less than leaders Vegas, which is definitely recoverable. However, they will have to improve their game because they have not played such good games lately. At the end of last year they suffered three defeats in a row and in five subsequent duels they received three defeats. Three rounds ago they played away against Vegas and that was a good opportunity to reduce the deficit to the championship leader with a positive result.
But the hosts were much better and celebrated a convincing 3-0 victory at the end. Then they played away against Arizona and again conceded a defeat. Although they were in the lead three minutes before the end of the game, the hosts equalized and the match went into overtime. Right after the second minute, Arizona beat Fischer for a 3-2 victory. They played away against the LA Kings on the final day of the match. After two defeats in a row succeeded Nashville to get a 4: 3 victory.

Edmonton Oilers
In the first 13 games, the Oilers recorded only four wins and that was not a good start to the season. As the season continued, they were not much better and played rather unsteady. Only in mid-December last year, they achieved four victories in series, with three games were played in front of their own fans. Edmonton is currently only better than Arizona and Vancouver and has one of the worst defense lines of the Western Conference.
