Germany - Mexico World Cup Prediction

Germany – Mexico World Cup Prediction

The DFB-Elf would like to defend the World Cup title, but had to plow in the run-up mainly secondary battle scenes. The Mexicans, on the other hand, want to be more than punctual at their 16th World Cup finals. Can “El Tri” take advantage of the situation of the German team?

“Let’s go loooooos!” For the reigning world champion, the mission title defense starts on Sunday – but there can be no question of a positive or even euphoric World Cup mood. Therefore, Mexico suspects his chance and should start the tournament with a spark of greater hope than expected a few weeks ago. But is that enough to annoy the world champion?

Interesting odds & tip

Political quarrels or not: Germany is towering favorite against Mexico and can handle it completely. The DFB-Elf is individually superior in length, has in all parts of the team about players who deserve the title of world class. In addition, sitting with Jogi Löw a coach on the side bench, which has proven in meanwhile six (!) Major tournaments that he can drive his team to the peak performance – tactically as well as mentally.

There is also a factor that is often underestimated, but in the German team is more effective than any other World Cup participants: experience. The DFB squad has by far the biggest tournament experience and, grotesquely, still represents one of the youngest teams in the tournament. The German national team is neither obsolete nor inexperienced, it knows the challenges and pitfalls of a big final round. So you can definitely go with the Kimmichs and Hummels and Neuers, who all emphasized the tournament qualities of the team. When it comes down to it, the team will flip the switch.

And then there is little to nothing for the Mexicans to pick up.

Germany

Eieiei, Schland. The World Cup kick-off is just around the corner, but in Germany hardly anyone talks about Manuel Neuer’s return, the Bayern-heavy back four or the non-nomination Lery Sané. No, it’s Ilkay Gündogan and Mesut Özil who dominate the headlines. For political reasons, not sporty.

Being photographed with Recep Tayip Erdogan, for whatever reason, was a stupid mistake, if not more. Right now it hailed criticism, partly comprehensible, partly racially motivated. The DFB failed miserably in trying to talk the story away and to talk small – and so is the prelude of the team under no good star.

Maybe convincing full throttle football would have helped to erase the media fire or at least to put a soothing stranger fire away from the Özil-Gündogan debate. But with underground appearances against Austria (1: 2) and Saudi Arabia (2: 1), the team only worsened the situation. So not only politically or mentally, but also athletic still a lot to be in trouble.

Perforated by tough press questions, many players felt compelled to grab the “tournament team narrative” from the medial moth box and promised a boost in performance at the start of the finals. The escape to the front is understandable in these times, but such promises reduce the pressure in the run-up to the Mexican game is not exactly.

So Germany starts as a favorite of uncertainty in the World Cup. The potential of the team is and remains elitist. Neuer is back and apparently also playable, not a single service provider is missing injured. Timo Werner showed once more that he can score in the DFB-Dress (at least in test and qualifying). Now it is time to put off the burden of the unfortunate preparation and focus on the place. Löw’s instincts are in demand.

Possible lineup Germany

We think that Jogi Löw against Mexico will start a similar starting formation, as recently against Saudi Arabia, with the difference that instead of Julian Draxler Mesut Özil will return to the starting lineup.
